John Zarcone, MD, FACS, FACPh, RVT, holds dual board certification in general surgery and cardiovascular surgery and is one of only a few fellowship-trained cardiovascular surgeons who specialize in the treatment of veins. He welcomes patients to his practice, Zarcone Vein & Aesthetics, where he offers two convenient office locations in Port Washington and Staten Island, New York.
As a pioneer in endovenous therapy, he produces outstanding results when treating vascular conditions such as varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. He also developed comprehensive protocols used to direct their vascular testing lab.
Dr. Zarcone received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. He continued his training at New York University Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine––Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Bronx, New York, and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
During his medical training, Dr. Zarcone proudly received numerous honors and awards. He holds many distinguished titles, including Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and Diplomat of the Cardiovascular Surgery Board. He’s also a fellow of the American Board of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He continues to serve as an active member of several medical and surgical societies.
After spending many years treating people with life-threatening cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Zarcone turned his attention to a long-neglected, yet more prevalent disease: chronic venous disease.
